Valley Town, as Dundas is affectionately known, is a wonderful town that was incorporated in the 1840's.  There are many century homes of humble and of grand stature. There are many casual cottage style homes, and many 2 and 2 and a half storey homes built with impressive and ornate architecture where many are adorned with ample sized porches.  The downtown features in excess of 100 shops, which consists of restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, clothing retailers, and home furnishings to name a few.

If an older home is not your cup of tea, then Dundas also has a couple of newer subdivisions.  One of the subdivisions is off of Governors Road and the other is off of Sydenham Road.  Both offer your typical 2400+ square foot newer home with en-suite bathrooms, main floor laundy and powder rooms.  There are also a couple of subdivisions that were built some 40 or so years ago and some of the main streets in those areas are Mayfair, Pleasant Avenue and Robinhood.  Dundas really has quite a lot of variety of style and age of home to choose from.

There are many events held in this community at different times of the year.  Most noteable are the Dundas International Buskerfest in June and the Cactus festival in August.  Both are great fun for the whole family to enjoy.  Dundas also boasts the Dundas Golf and Country Club and many conservation lands to explore.

If you live in Dundas, I bet you cannot take a walk downtown without meeting someone you know.  Dundas is the perfect compliment of old and new, small town without removal from the city.  Click below to view the community video.
