New to Hamilton or thinking of moving to the Hamilton area? We have many different areas in this city and they all have their very own personality. The Westdale Village is no exception with its vibrant commercial area consisting of the self-titled theatre, independent clothing stores, unique one of a kind plus franchise coffee shops and restaurants, multiple retail stores, bakeries, chocolate store, modern Hair Salons, and the standard fair of Banks and Dry Cleaners and last but not least...McMaster University and Hospital.
We have the classic centre hall plan homes that have been gracing the Westdale area for the better part of a century. Of particular note is Mayfair Crescent which resides directly across from McMaster University and its nearby Sterling Street entrance. The homes there are of grand proportions and are all unique in their own rights. There are also areas of Westdale, West Hamilton where many smaller, working class homes exist that have recently seen a growing number of homes being rented as off-campus housing for students. There is also a small pocket of homes that were built in the 1950's and 1960's at the base of the escarpment. The area is known for having a large percentage of bungalows which by their nature allow for long term residency and has resulted in a relatively stable neighbourhood. Being so close to the escarpment and its adjoining forest, the area offers nature at its door step with an abundance of deer, squirrels, racoons, rabbits and the odd wild turkey.
Take a tour around Westdale and West Hamilton to discover its many wonderful neighbourhoods and homes.
